The C.B.I. program places emphasis on low teacher-pupil ratio and an opportunity for on-the-job as well as life skills training. Our students attend regular classes for the first half of the school day and work in community-based jobs sights the other half of the day. It is this work aspect the program that seperates our students from the rest. Our students are released after the academic portion of their day and report to a job or community service work experience sights.
Students receive 3 credits for their work experience as well as a pay check (if they have a paid employment job sight.) Last year our students earned a combined paycheck of $92,575 while learning the importance of a strong work ethic. The Related portion of our program includes related employment instruction especially designed to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of the participants. The program is aimed specifically at helping youth become refocused and motivated toward education while preparing them for the world of work.
