Welcome to our classroom
Hello! My name is Mallory Gersper and I am the Autism teacher at Cork Elementary. I began teaching students with Autism back in 2008. I came to Geneva in 2012 when they first opened the Autism unit. It has been an exciting journey working with Geneva to develop a strong unit that is multi-faceted.

Mrs. Cook has been with the Autism room since 2012. Prior to working in education she worked in the medical profession as an LPN. Her medical background and knowledge gives her a unique perspective when working with our students. She is generous, kind hearted and deeply cares for our students and their families. Her ability to "read" student emotions has helped tremendously when working through student frustrations.
Miss Besty has been with us since February 2017. She comes to us with years of experience of working with children who have emotional/behavioral disorders. She transitioned into our room seamlessly and has been a great asset to us. Her kindness and compassion for working with students on the spectrum is noteable.
