I love living in Southern California because the beaches are so groovy.  There are restaurants, arcades, fishing, and all sorts of theme parks like Disneyland.  In the winter, we have to drive about an hour to find snow.  It’s so fun when you play in the snow.  It also lasts such a long time that when you go there the first time it snows and come back two months later, it’s still there.  California is the 3^rd largest state in the USA and it’s also the most populous state.  Our state nickname is the “Golden State” because of the 1849 gold rush.  Our tallest mountain is Mount Whitney, at 14,500 feet.
