Pensacola if located in the panhandle, in
the northwestern part of Florida. This year, we celebrated the
citys 450 years of history. Pensacola is called, “The City of
Five Flags” because the Spanish, French, British, Confederate, and US
flags have all flown over the city. The area is known for the
“sugar white” sand on the beautiful beaches along the Gulf of
Mexico. The Blue Angels, the Navy flight demonstration team,
makes its home at the Pensacola Naval Air Station.
