Dear Class,
Hello from Mr. Conants second
grade class. We attend school at Hidden Springs Elementary School
in Boise, Idaho. We absolutely love our state because of all of
the great outdoor activities we get to enjoy. Some of the things
we love to do are ski in the winter, enjoy fishing and other water
sports in the spring and summer, and hike and bike the many trails
around us. Many people dont know much about Idaho except for our
“famous potatoes”. Did you know that if all the mountains were
squashed flat, Idaho would be as large as Texas? We have many
state symbols such as the syringe being our state flower, the Hagerman
horse being our state fossil and the monarch butterfly is our state
insect. Our state gem, the star garnet, can only be found in
large quantities in one other place in the world. See if you can
guess where it may be! We hope youve learned a thing or two about
our state. Come visit us some time!
Sincerely,
Mr. Conants Second Grade Class
