Hello from Minnesota!

Our 1st grade class has 9 boys and 14 girls.  We love living in MN!  Did you know…

- we have 90,000 miles of shoreline, more than Cal., Florida, and Hawaii combined

- Minn. has one recreational boat per every 6 people, more than any other state

- masking and Scotch tape, Wheaties cereal, Bisquick, staplers, Rollerblades, and snowmobiles are MN inventions

- The Mall of America is the size of 78 football fields (9.5 million square ft.)

Greetings from Northwestern Minnesota!
We are a tiny school of 60 students with 6 teachers.  Our class of second graders has just 6 students.  Many people from other parts of the country come here in the summer to enjoy fishing and water sports on our 10,000 lakes.  In the winter, we love snowmobiling, ice fishing, and hockey.  We are the home of the world famous Mayo Clinic.  We have 4 definite seasons.  In summer it can get hot.  In the winter, we can get very cold, sometimes 30 degrees below zero.  Our town is in a rural area where farming is the main business.  In Minnesota we raise lots of corn, soybeans, sunflowers, alfalfa and other crops.  We have dairy and beef cattle, along with sheep, goats, hogs, and other animals.
Come visit us!  Youll have fun here!
