| Greetings from Northwestern
Minnesota! We are a tiny school of 60 students with 6 teachers. Our class of second graders has just 6 students. Many people from other parts of the country come here in the summer to enjoy fishing and water sports on our 10,000 lakes. In the winter, we love snowmobiling, ice fishing, and hockey. We are the home of the world famous Mayo Clinic. We have 4 definite seasons. In summer it can get hot. In the winter, we can get very cold, sometimes 30 degrees below zero. Our town is in a rural area where farming is the main business. In Minnesota we raise lots of corn, soybeans, sunflowers, alfalfa and other crops. We have dairy and beef cattle, along with sheep, goats, hogs, and other animals. Come visit us! Youll have fun here! St. Michaels Second Grade |
