Missouri’s state animal is the mule.  St. Louis is also called the “The Gateway to the West” and “Home of the Blues”.  Our state bird is the bluebird.  The state insect is the honey bee.  The Missouri Waltz became the state song on June 30, 1949.  There are some facts about Missouri.
