More mountains than any state, more wild horses than any other state.
Nickname: the Silver State (for all the silver that came out of
Comstock at Virginia City)
Leading producer of gold and silver
Average rainfall is less than 7 inches a year…so most days are
beautiful blue skies.
Reno is at 4,600 feet. So lots of snow in the winter and great
skiing in the nearby Sierras.
