Dear Fellow Students,
Hello from Vermont! There are over 3,000 farms in Vermont which produce 267 million gallons of milk each year. The state tree is the sugar maple from which we produce maple syrup. It takes 40 gallons of sap from the tree to make one gallon of maple syrup. In 2008 Vermont produced 500,000 gallons of maple syrup. The capital of Vermont is Montpelier. Vermont has an area of about 9,600 square miles. The population is almost 620,000 people. We get an average of 70 100” of snow each year. Our biggest city is Burlington. Our state flower is the red clover…its edible! From, Your friends at Good Shepherd Catholic School |
