<>Dear Boys and Girls,
We are fifth graders who attend Newington Forest Elementary located in
Springfield, Virginia. Although we are representing Washington,
DC, we live about 19 miles south of the city.
Washington, DC is our nations capital. It is home to our
President as well as our national government. The Smithsonian
Institute, Kennedy Center, Jefferson Memorial, and the Washington
Monument are just a few of the museums, theaters, and monuments that
can be found here. Washington DC is a wonderful city to visit any
time, but it is spectacular in the spring during the Cherry Blossom
Festival.
