WEST VIRGINIA

   bird

Dear Kids Across the Country,

We are Mrs. Hunter’s Second Grade class of Williamstown Elementary in Williamstown, West Virginia.  We have done a lot of exciting things in class this year.  We have raised butterflies, worked in a garden, and even decorated our own postcards to show you some of the amazing things found in West Virginia.

West Virginia is home to the New River Bridge and the very exciting Bridge Day parachute event.  West Virginia’s state animal is the black bear, the state bird is the cardinal, and the insect is the honey bee.  Williamstown borders the state of Ohio and is neighbored by Marietta the first settlement of the Northwest Territories.  We love your postcards.
