Still unpacking and trying to find a spot for everything.

We have a beautiful maple tree just outside our windows. There is a pasture with goats and horses about 20 feet from our windows.
The books are now sorted and ready to go on the shelves.  I have lots of chapter books. Do you like chapter books?

Our Snoopy curtains are now hung and it is starting to look like our Snoopy classroom.  I have lots of Snooy/Peanuts things.

The charts for reading , spelling and math are now on the front board. Do you see the pictures at the top of the chalkboard?The alphabet is above the long bulletin board.  Above the alphabet there are posters about vowels, math signs, numbers, and color words. Below the alphabet is our Snoopy number line.The bulletin board on the right  is our calendar for morning meeting.   I put our spelling words  in the small blue chart on the right.  The large blue chart will be our "Focus Wall" for reading. The small blue chart on the left will be our math vocabulary chart.
centers  video
All the items in the centers (purple and white baskets) have been cleaned and sorted.  These center baskets contain objects to examine and explore as well as fun learning activities. In the science baskets we have magnets, rocks, shells, fossils, teeth, insects, leaf collections, magnifying glasses, puzzles, a snake skin, and an emu egg shell. In the math baskets there are flashcards, tangrams, pattern blocks, clocks, puzzles, fraction sets, money cards, geoboards, and games. In the reading basket there are spelling games, phonics puzzles, facts cards,  and reading games. In the games baskets there are puzzles, legos, magic slates, and magnetics.

The aquarium for Sugar and Spice is ready for them.  Do you know who Sugar and Spice are?

All the books in the bookcases and baskets have been sorted and arranged. Next week I will work on bulletin boards, name/desk tags, charts, posters,door decorations, hall displays and lots of paperwork.
