Greetings from Colorado, the Centennial State.
Colorado is called the Centennial State because it became a state in 1876
when the US was celebrating its 100th birthday. Our school is located
in the city of Centennial, a city formed about 6 years ago. Centennial
is a suburb of Denver. Colorado has 54 mountains over 4,000 feet tall.
Two of our major industries are skiing and tourism. Our state flower
is the columbine. Our state tree is the blue spruce and our state bird
is the lark bunting. Come visit our wonderful and beautiful state!
