Hello from Iowa! We are a fourth grade
class in Mitchellville, Iowa. It is about 12 miles east of Des Moines,
the capital city. Our state has a lot of fun places to visit and fun
things to do! We have lots of parks and lakes where you can hike, camp,
fish, and go boating. We are just entering on of our most beautiful
times of the year. The leaves are starting to turn colors. We
live about 6 miles away from Adventureland Amusement Park. They have
many cool rides. We also live very close to Sleepy Hollow, a great place
to go skiing or snow tubing in the winter. Our state is well known
for our state fair which is held for 10 days right before school starts!
Our class enjoys eating the corndogs on a stick the best! Come visit
our wonderful state!
