Dear friends, we live in Moscow
Idaho, which is located in the Idaho panhandle. Moscow
is a rural area that grows wheat, barley, lentils, and peas. Idaho’s
capital is Boise. We are known as the “Gem State”
– we produce 72 types of precious and semi-precious stones. State Bird: Mountain bluebird.
State Horse: Appaloosa. State
Tree: Western White Pine. State Fruit:
Huckleberry. We are famous for Sacajawea,
a
Lemhi/Shoshone, who was a guide and interpreter for the Lewis/Clark
Expedition. Idaho’s
Salmon River is the nation’s
longest
free-flowing river that heads and flows within a single state. We love Idaho and all of its beauty.
