| Dear friends, We live in a small town called Derby. It is a suburb of Wichita, KS. We are a PreK – 5 school. We have 341 students. There are 3 second grade classes. We have a water park, a movie theater and a lot of restaurants in our town. A lot of us are KC Chiefs fans. Our state flower is the sunflower, our bird is the meadowlark, tree is the cottonwood, insect the honeybee, reptile the tiger salamander. We are known as the wheat state. We like getting postcards from all over the country. Sincerely, Park Hill Second Graders |

| Greetings from Hutchinson,
KS! We have four seasons and the weather can change quickly. It really looks and feels like fall right now. A lot of kids like to hang out at the mall. The Kansas State Fair is here. Places to visit are the Cosmosphere and the Underground Salt Museum. Mike from “Dirty Jobs” visited the salt museum. We like to play soccer, swim, shop, play computer games, and do art. Our high school football team, the Salthawks, have been the state champions 3 years in a row, and are going for their 4th! |
