Hello!  We are a 3rd grade class from Biddeford Primary School in Biddeford, Maine.  We have 12 boys and 12 girls in our class.  Our state nickname is Vacationland.  Maine is almost as big as all of the other 5 New England states put together!  We have 3,500 miles of coastline with 60 lighthouses, 17 million acres of forestland, and 2,000 coastal islands.  Maine raises 90% of the low-bush blueberries in North America, is ranked 4th in potato production, and is well known for lobster.  In Maine you can see animals such as whales, moose, and puffins.  We get 60 – 90” of snow each year.  Some other neat facts:  L.L. Bean’s flagship store is located in Freeport, Maine.  The first pair of earmuffs was invented in Maine.  Some famous people from Maine are writers Stephen King and E.B. White.
We are very excited to be a part of the postcard exchange!

Hi from Windsor Maine.  We go to a K-8 school in a small town near the capital of Maine.  We have 5 girls and 5 boys in our small kindergarten class.  Maine is a true 4 season area.  We have everything from potatoes and blueberries to lobster and wood products.  People from far and near visit us to swim, fish, ski, hunt, and just look at all the beautiful sights.
