| Hello from Lexington, Nebraska.
We attend Morton Elementary School. We love our state because we
have all 4 seasons. It’s very cold in the winter, very hot in the
summer, and nice in the fall and spring. We do have to watch for
tornadoes though. We have a class of all girls because 5th grade in
gendering at our school. Did you know Nebraska has the biggest porch
swing in the world at Herbyon, NE? We also love our University of
Nebraska football team, the Huskers. Go Big Red!! Have a great
school year. |
| Greetings from Nebraska! Can you find
us on your map? We are right in the middle of the USA. In our
class, we have 9 girls, 9 boys, and 1 guinea pig named Elvis. Nebraska
is known as the Cornhusker state because we grow a lot of corn. State
bug: honeybee. State bird: meadowlark. Tree: cottonwood.
Flower: goldenrod. Long ago, pioneers lived in sod houses.
Can you see the cow grazing on top of the sod house? Kool-Aid was invented
in Nebraska. Soon, it will be winter in Nebraska and we will have lots
and lots of snow! Thank you for writing to us! Mrs. Robertson's First Graders |
