| We are a 5th grade class in
Mrs. Alexander’s class, Room 6 at Sacramento Elementary School. Our
school has preschool to 5th grade. We are one of three 5th grade classes.
We have 421 students at our school, and 23 students in our class. We
get choice time on Fridays for completing homework. We live in the NW in Portland, Oregon. Portland has two big rivers – the Columbia and the Willamette. Portland has 12 bridges going over these rivers, with 10 in the downtown area! Portland is close to Multnomah Falls, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and the Pacific Ocean. We are home to many sports teams, including the Portland Trailblazers (NBA), Lumberjacks (Lacrosse), Winterhawks (Hockey), Timbers (Soccer), and the Beavers (AAA-Baseball). Here are some interesting facts about Oregon: Capital – Salem Nickname – Beaver State |
| Greetings from Oregon! Oregon is a
very diverse state. You can go from the ocean to the mountains to
the high desert in one day! Portland is in a valley where it rains
a lot. We have lots of trees and flowers. Portland is called
the city of Roses. |

Hello from Central Oregon! We are kindergarten
students who go to school all day. We live in what is considered the
“High Desert” of Oregon. We have definite seasons, but they are somewhat
mild. We have beautiful scenery with lakes, mountains, and forests.
