| Hi from central
Pennsylvania! We are a Montessori school in Lancaster, PA.
We live near the state capital, Harrisburg and also Hershey, where
chocolate is made. There are 13 girls and 10 boys in our 3 – 6
year old classroom. Our school is located in the city of
Lancaster (pop. 56,000) but all around us is
farmland. There are over 5,000 farms in Lancaster County.
Lancaster
is popular with tourists because of the large Amish community too. |
| Hi from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are a Kindergarten class with 6 boys and 4 girls. Our school is also a preschool so we are the “big kids.” We like listening to “The Magic Tree House” books. We cheer for the Steelers, the Penguins, and the Pirates. We have 3 rivers that make the letter Y at a place we call the Point. Because of the rivers we have a lot of bridges. We love getting all the postcards and finding the places on our map. Mrs. Sefcik K Kids |
| Greetings from Pennsylvania! Our school is called Greenwich Elementary. We are a part of the Kutztown School District. Pennsylvania is home to the Liberty Bell, in Philadelphia, and Hershey’s Chocolate World! Our capital is Harrisburg. Our state bird is the ruffled goose. Our state animal is the white tail deer. Our state tree is the hemlock and the state flower is the mountain laurel. Our third grade class looks forward to hearing about your state! |

Dear students -
We are a class of 31 second graders in Philadelphia. We are the home of the Liberty Bell and the Phillies! There are many exciting things that happen in Philly. We enjoy riding the el, eating cheesesteaks, and walking around historical downtown. Hope to hear from you soon. Mrs. Kinzey's 2nd grade class! |
| Hi, We are 1st graders. Our mascot is the eagle. We like fireworks. We have a lot of sunny days. We have 9 boys and 3 girls. We are in 2008. The Liberty Bell is located in Philadelphia. This historical treasure is 30 minutes away from our school. We can also visit Betsy Ross’s house and eat giant soft pretzels. We cheer for the Philadelphia Eagles football team, too! |
