| Hello from Lafayette, TN.
We are about 60 miles northeast of Nashville, home of country music.
We are a rural community. Our school has around 400 students in fourth
and fifth grade. Our school is on the front of the postcard.
It was once the county’s high school. Our fifth grade class has 22

| Dear Friends, We are Mrs. Howell’s Owls. There are 19 people in our class – 10 boys and 9 girls. We live in Memphis, TN – “Home of the Blues”, Elvis Presley, and #2 ranked University of Memphis Tigers Basketball team! Memphis has a great zoo. We have a pyramid on the Mississippi River. Hello from East End Magnet Academy in Humboldt,
Tennessee. We are known as Plunkett’s Penguins. We are a
third grade class with 11 boys and 9 girls. Our area is known for
its Strawberry Festival in May. We are learning about weather now
in our Meteorology unit. We enjoy reading, especially Accelerated
Reader stories. We have already earned over 20 points in our class!

| Hello! We are a 2nd grade class at
Cedar Grove Elementary. We have 19 students in our class.
Our class is one of 8 2nd grade classes at our school. Cedar Grove
contains grades Pre-K through 5th. We are located about 20 minutes
from Nashville, the capital of Tennessee. Nashville’s nickname is
Music City because it is known for country music. Tennessee’s nickname
is the Volunteer State. Our state borders 8 states. We enjoy
reading books and going to centers. On the weekends we like to play
sports like soccer, football, baseball, and dance. We like to cheer

| Hello! We are a Multiage class (K-12)
in East Tennessee with 13 girls and 7 boys. Our school’s name is Woodland,
our colors are green and gold and our mascot is the eagle. You can

Mrs. Miles. Right now we are learning about inventions and designing
our own. We hope you learn something about Tennessee from the information
