macon county high school
Hello from Lafayette, TN.  We are about 60 miles northeast of Nashville, home of country music.  We are a rural community.  Our school has around 400 students in fourth and fifth grade.  Our school is on the front of the postcard.  It was once the county’s high school.  Our fifth grade class has 22 students, 10 girls, 12 boys.

Dear Friends,
We are Mrs. Howell’s Owls.  There are 19 people in our class – 10 boys and 9 girls.  We live in Memphis, TN – “Home of the Blues”, Elvis Presley, and #2 ranked University of Memphis Tigers Basketball team!  Memphis has a great zoo.  We have a pyramid on the Mississippi River.  We are learning to read and write.  We have learned our ABCs and numbers.  We like going to work stations and outside.  We like getting postcards.  Happy New Year!

Hello!  We are a 2nd grade class at Cedar Grove Elementary.  We have 19 students in our class.  Our class is one of 8 2nd grade classes at our school.  Cedar Grove contains grades Pre-K through 5th.  We are located about 20 minutes from Nashville, the capital of Tennessee.  Nashville’s nickname is Music City because it is known for country music.  Tennessee’s nickname is the Volunteer State.  Our state borders 8 states.  We enjoy reading books and going to centers.  On the weekends we like to play sports like soccer, football, baseball, and dance.  We like to cheer on the Titans and Vols.  We look forwards to learning about your state.
