Hello from Ashburn, Virginia! Dominion
Trail is a K-5 school that has over 700 students. There are 6 third
grade classes. We live in a suburban area in Northern Virginia.
The population in Ashburn was slightly over 73,000 last year. We are
located about 30 minutes west from our nations captial, Washington DC, and
about 1 hour east of the Shenandoah Valley. Some our nation's historical
treasures are nearby. Mount Vernon (George Washington' home), Monticello
(Thomas Jefferson's home), the Pentagon, and the new Smithsonian's Air and
Space Museum name a few. Virginia's state bird is the cardinal and
our state tree is the dogwood. We hope everyone has an awesome school
year.

| Greetings from Springfield, Virginia! We are located 15 miles west of Washington DC. We have 750 students in our school and our school district is the 10th largest in the USA. Our school is located in a suburban community that is surrounded by a forest. We enjoy seeing opossum, deer, squirrels, and raccoons in our neighborhood.
