We listen to Mrs. Gray read Nobody's
Mother
is in Second Grade . In the story Cassandra tells her mother the
wonderful
things she is doing in second grade. When Cassandra's mother, fondly
recalling
her school days, says "I wish I could go to second grade again,"
Cassandra
replies, "That would be ridiculous." Her mon sews a leafy costume and
attends
school disguised as a plant. Throughout the day the children observe
that
the plant is acting a little unusual for a plant. After reading the
story
we discussed what our parents would dress as if they wanted to visit
our
room. Next we drew pictures of our parents in our classroom and
added
a sentence describing their visit.
