GENEVA JUNIOR HIGH DETENTION NOTICE LETTER
GJHS DETENTION NOTIFICATION

You have been assigned a detention that has been written in your assignment book.  Failure to report to the detention will result in further disciplinary action.  Mr. Belconis must be notified prior to 5th period on the day of your assigned detention by a note from your parent and a phone number where the parent can be reached if you can not attend the assigned detention.

Detention Procedures To Be Followed

1.    You must take your assignment book to the detention or this form in the event you did not have your assignment book on the day the detention was assigned. You must show proof that the detention was assigned.
2.    You must be at detention room 162 prior to 2:25 P.M.  Students must bring work (books, writing materials, etc.) to the detention room.  Students not bringing materials to work on will be removed.  Talking, idleness (not doing work), head down or eyes closed will be cause for removal.
3.    Students who are removed from detention and students who successfully serve detentions are to leave the building immediately after leaving detention room.  Detention will be over at 3:10 P.M.  In cases of inclement weather, students may wait for rides in the lobby area in front of the junior high school principal’s office.

Other Detention Information

Students shall be given a 1-day notice in order to make arrangements for transportation home after the detention(s).  Arrangements for rides must be made ahead of time.  Detentions are to be served when assigned and not at the convenience of the student or parent.  The only phone available will be the pay phone.
