Student grades' will be determined by daily behavior, participation in class, cooperation with the teacher and classmates, as well as work on daily assignments, quizzes, and assessments.
In this course, we will be studying the development of the United States from the late 19th century (1800s) through most of the 20th century (1900s).
In addition, we will be also covering "current events" each day in class and making some comparisons/contrasts with what goes on now with what took place in our nation's history. By doing so, we will be able to analyze and evaluate the credibility of primary and secondary sources as well as develop a thesis and use evidence to support or refute a position each day in our classroom.
Students are encouraged to be cooperative and work to make their classroom a good learning environment. Solid effort and a positive attitude will be keys to making this a successful 2017-2018 school year. I am looking forward to working with your student.
