News and Views…
I am finally getting back to “normal”. I have been in a constant state of planning and prepping so I thank you for your patience with my communication. This is the month to be thankful (every month is actually) and I am thankful that students have and are coming back. I am thankful that students who need online schooling are able to have that opportunity. I am thankful that parents trust their children with us and know that we are doing our best at keeping everyone safe and healthy. I could go on and on…
Geneva has updated their website and Cork has a page connected to the district site. We will communicate important events and information through the website, email, Robo-call, twitter, and hard copies if students attend in person, and the PTO Facebook page. (Not necessarily all) Please call the school if you have questions……
Welcome to another edition of The Cork Chronicle. Included in this issue, you will find information that is beneficial to your understanding of what we do all day instead of getting a reply of “I don’t know or “nothing” from your child. (I was famous for this when growing up). If you have any questions regarding your child’s education, please contact your child’s teacher or myself.
Thank you for your patience and support,

Box Top Collection
Thank you for kicking off the Box top collection this year.
Kayla Hejduk( aka PTO President) has graciously offered her services to tally our box tops and send them in for redemption. Normally we have students pick a prize when turning in their box tops but we are unable to do this at this time. We are going to tally the number of box tops each student brings and give prizes at the end of the year. Please remember to keep collecting and watch for expiration dates!!
Your help means a lot to our school. We are looking into using last year’s profits to purchase classroom supplies for various projects or need outside the realm of what the district provides, student prizes, and positive behavior materials to name a few!
Do you have a Veteran you would like to honor?
We are unable to have visitors at school, BUT would like to honor the veterans in our students' families. This information will be shared publicly in a slideshow as part of a virtual assembly. Mrs. Stowell, our music teacher, is once again shining a light on those who have served for our country.
There is a form in Google Classroom under Music that families can fill out to share in a slide show that will be posted on the website on November 11th.
Please fill out one form for each veteran in your family. Questions can be sent to Mrs. Stowell at Lisa.Stowell@genevaschools.org.
Please complete by November 6th so she can put together the slideshow.
