Philanthropy Club Giving Day

Geneva High School’s Philanthropy Club recently continued its tradition of service and community impact through its Annual Giving Day, awarding a total of $5,000 to local nonprofit organizations that support individuals and families in need.

This year’s recipients included the Geneva Food Pantry, the Beatitude House, and the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center – Ashtabula Office. The donations were made in conjunction with the Ashtabula Foundation, helping students experience firsthand the power of philanthropy and community partnership.

Under the leadership of advisor Mrs. Marie Best, Philanthropy Club members carefully considered how to direct funds to organizations making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Their work reflects the compassion, leadership, and civic responsibility that Geneva High School strives to instill in all students.

Geneva High School Principal Michael King praised the students for their thoughtful efforts and commitment to helping others. Through projects like Annual Giving Day, Geneva students continue to demonstrate that even at a young age, they can make a lasting impact in their community.
