Recent research reveals that the average U.S. teen spends 4.8 hours per day using social media apps, including YouTube, Google, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Kids today are not tuned in to the dangers that exist on Social Media apps. It's time to be proactive and protect the children of Geneva. Please join us for an important presentation about the dangers of social media and warning signs that all parents should know. Mark you calendars for this Wednesday evening, January 24th from 6-7 pm at GHS auditorium. This is an adult only event due to the nature of the content, no students please. We hope to see you there. Good Morning! Just a quick reminder for parents who drop off their students in the mornings. Please be sure to pull up to the end of the building as you drop off during inclement weather to enable traffic to move more quickly and avoid congestion on Sherman Street and Route 84. Students are permitted to enter in the doors at the end of the building, as well as the main doors. In order to ensure student safety, please do not drop off students in the middle of the parking upon arrival to school. Thank you for your help.

Resource Officer Joe Cooper and NAD (Northwest Ambulance District) paramedics Rory Shaw and Rob Bernardo, brought the Stop the Bleed program to students in grades 6th, 7th and 8th at Geneva Middle School. Stop the Bleed is a program that teaches students three quick techniques to help save a life. Students were taught how: (1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound; (2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding; (3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet, before someone bleeds out. When asked why he brought Stop the Bleed to Geneva Middle School Officer Cooper responded “We brought the program so that the students can learn skills that they can take with them throughout their lives. A life they save can be their own, a loved one or even a stranger. We plan on having all students in grades 6-12 trained by the first of the year.”
