Welcome to a new and exciting school year! I hope that you had a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to learn and grow with your families.
As the new Principal of Geneva Platt R. Spencer, it is my sincere pleasure to become a member of this great school community. My family has been a part of this area for over 75 years and I look forward to working with you and your family.
Before coming to Geneva Area City Schools, I was the Prek-12 Principal for the Southington Local School District. Prior to becoming a principal, I was a teacher with the Berkshire Local School District. My greatest initiative as principal is to provide leadership that will facilitate a school environment that provides differentiated instruction to address the needs of all students and push them to achieve to their fullest potential. The educational program must be academically challenging, must engage each student by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experiences, as well as peak a child’s interest to promote further exploration of new ideas.
There are many adventures ahead for the upcoming school year and I look forward to us sharing in those exciting times together. If your child needs additional support or if you have a concern, please do not hesitate to contact his/her teacher. It is our mission to support your child in all ways possible. Working collaboratively as a team makes a difference in the lives of our students.
