Congratulations to the girls varsity golf team as they celebrated their seniors at the last home match of the season while securing a victory over Lakeside 197-241. Scoring for the ladies were Sophia Bell, Chloe Dodge, Gabbie Clugh, and Sarah Cybulski. The girls finished the match play portion of their season with 1 6-4 record. The JV girls golf team dropped a close match yesterday afternoon against Lake Catholic 233-234. Scoring for the ladies were Elyza Schmid 55, Eva Sabo 56, Taylah Boss 61, and Macey Schmid 62 supported by Abby Reese 71. The girls wrapped up the match play season with a 3-4 record. Good season ladies! The boys soccer team hasn't lost a match since August 27th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Neither they nor the Berkshire Badgers could gain the upper hand, so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Geneva's goal came courtesy of Paxton Galliazzo, assisted by Kyle Opron. Paxton is now up to eight goals this season. Geneva's draw gives them a new season record of 4-3-2. Go Eagles 🦅 The Boys Soccer team won last night with a commanding lead over the Edgewood Warriors and a final score of 5-1. With a perfect 4-0 first half, the Eagles soared and put in some fresh birds from the nest who scored 1 additional goal in the second half. Edgewood had high hopes coming in from their victory over the Eagles last year, but fell short as this year's defensive line is just too strong. Your Geneva team goals came from Paxton Galliazzo (2), Griffin Parker (1), Patrick McKinney (1), Carter Roberts (1). Alex Lee added 2 assists while Griffin Parker added 1.The win pushes the soccer team forward to 4-3-1 standing.They head out on the road to face off against Berkshire at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leading the way for the Eagles was Chloe Dodge with a 45, followed by Sophia Bell 51, Sarah Cybulski 54, Gabby Clugh 55, Caidyn Sielgel 55, and Abby Johnson 62. The girls conference record is now 5-3. The Geneva Boys Golf team beat Lakeside on August 29th 178-204. We are 5-2 on the year. The top scorers were Isaiah Rose and William Dushney. Great job guys! The boys varsity soccer team made a clean sweep against Lakeside on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Lakeside Dragons with a sharp 6-0 victory. That six goal margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season. They hit Lakeside with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Paxton Galliazzo, Max Galliazzo, and Alex Lee. The win got Geneva back to even at 3-3. Geneva is taking a road trip to challenge Kirtland at 7:00 p.m. tonight. Geneva will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last. Congratulations go out to the Lady Eagle tennis team as they outlasted the Heralds of St. John in Saybrook township last night by a, closer than it looked, 5-0 decision. Singles winners were Seniors Mickey Zheng, Addison DiPofi and sophomore Ashlyn Thompson - all in straight sets.
